Instructor Bio - Leora Viega Rifkin

Leora Viega Rifkin is both an intrapreneur and an entrepreneur, and a connector. She is the Founder and CEO of Canary Rising. Canary Rising works with aspiring and established creatives, innovators, entrepreneurs and organizations to focus on how mental strength and individual strengths support their business and overall wellbeing to prevent burnout and disengagement. Canary Rising targets the overall health of the company by looking inward, so that the culture of the organization and most importantly, its people, thrive.


Leora is also Co-Founder and Chief of Possibility of BREAD (Boston’s Racial & Economic Dialogue). BREAD’s mission asks, “What if we focused on people’s strengths and the strength of the whole, to catalyze social change?” Leora is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with her master’s in Applied Positive Psychology. You can find her writing and speaking passionately about her life's work, "Defining a Positive Citizenship; Wellbeing for Emancipation." She currently serves at the Career Coach for the IT and BioMed Workforce Development program at Just A Start in Cambridge. 


All of her roles connect to her life’s purpose, which is to elevate people’s love and connection for themselves, others and society. Leora believes in play, possibility, vulnerability, connectivity, gratitude, compassion, creativity and people.
